This Parental Consent Policy applies to all students under the age of 18 participating in Soft AI Africa’s programs.

1. PURPOSE

Soft AI Africa is committed to protecting the rights, safety, privacy, and well-being of minors participating in its educational and training programs.

2. CONSENT REQUIREMENT

Students under 18 must obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian before:

Enrolling in any program

Creating an online account

Participating in live or recorded classes

Using AI tools or platforms

Submitting personal data

3. DATA COLLECTION & USE

With parental consent, Soft AI Africa may collect:

Student name and age

Contact details

Learning progress and assessments

Platform usage data

Projects and coursework

All data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (NDPR & GDPR principles).

4. RECORDINGS, PHOTOS & MEDIA

With consent, Soft AI Africa may:

Record classes (online or physical)

Capture photographs or videos for educational or promotional purposes

Parents may opt out of media use by notifying Soft AI Africa in writing.

5. ONLINE SAFETY

Soft AI Africa takes reasonable measures to:

Secure learning platforms

Monitor inappropriate behavior

Restrict misuse of AI tools

Protect minors from harmful content

6. PARENT/GUARDIAN RIGHTS

Parents or guardians have the right to:

Request access to their child’s data

Request correction or deletion of information

Withdraw consent at any time

Ask questions about the program
